Roppongi: Cycling into Shibuya Crossing and Historic Old Japanese House
May 14, 2025

Tired of crowded trains and tiring walks?
Discover Tokyo with ease on a private e-bike tour! At Tokyo Bike Bliss, we tailor every moment to your pace and interests, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth.
Our recent cycling adventure took us from Roppongi to witness the vibrant chaos of Shibuya Crossing.
Then, we pedaled to a serene historical Japanese house, where we explored in the tranquility of a traditional Japanese residence and its beautiful garden.
This contrast – the bustling intersection and the peaceful historic home – offered a unique glimpse into the diverse facets of Tokyo.
Get the Highlights!
- Shibuya Crossing: the once-in-your-lifetime place to visit
- Meiji Shrine & Yoyogi Park: a refreshing area in the bustling city
- Kyu Asakura House: an old Japanese house that you couldn't reach on your own
Shibuya Crossing

No trip to Tokyo feels complete without experiencing the energy of the world-famous Shibuya Crossing! Crowds come in every direction—commuters rushing to the station, tourists capturing the scene, locals blending into the chaos.
And yes, you can even see this hustle and bustle on the bike tour. (too dangerous to cycle through, of course.)
Meiji Shrine & Yoyogi Park

In the heart of the bustling city, Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park showcase Tokyo’s serene side. One moment you’re cycling through a canopy of towering trees; the next, you’re watching people enjoying this serenity and peacefulness in the park.
Optionally, we park our bikes nearby and enjoy a short walking tour inside the shrine grounds—an essential contrast to Tokyo’s urban rhythm.
Kyu Asakura House

Traditional wooden architecture is a rare and precious sight in Tokyo, but Kyu Asakura House is a remarkable exception. This well-preserved historic residence from nearly a century ago offers a peaceful stroll through tatami rooms and a lush Japanese garden. It’s a tranquil escape, a step back in time, an oasis of calm within the sprawling city.
